With things the way they are and time just passing by with no guarantees on anything, it’s time to really smell the roses. Even before COVID, many of us never took the time to really do the things we wanted to. We have no excuses anymore.
Time doesn’t stop for anyone and there comes a time when you wake up and you can’t believe your "X amount" years old. Don’t wait for some future time when it’s the perfect time for you to start on that list.
Start today by doing one thing every day that you always wanted to do. Maybe you have wanted to take time to spend with someone special, take up a craft, visit a special site, or even just sit in your garden and meditate. The whole point is to not put off till tomorrow what you can do today. By doing something for yourself daily, it will relax your nervous system, give you a break, and replenish your energy.
Make a list of all the things you would like to do or experience within our guidelines right now. Take one thing and put it on your daily calendar for the month. When the day comes either do what’s on your daily list or you can switch it up for another day but you have to do something. The amount of time is not as important as doing something. Ten minutes is better than no minutes. Then when all our restrictions are lifted, we can dream a little bigger, smell a whole garden, and take in all the sensory experiences of life. Have fun with it!
