Ushering in the New Year

I think it's almost unanimous that people can't wait for this year to end. I bet when that ball drops and it's seconds away from 2021, people will be dancing in the streets.

I need to review all the highlights of this year, good and bad. For someone with a Virgo mind, that's how I have to do it. I have to examine and re-examine to make sure I haven't missed anything. It's also important to journal on closing the energy of this year. If we don't, we can drag all unfinished business into the new year.

Here are a few questions to journal on:

~ What were the main events that were game-changers for you this year?

~ What was your biggest challenge and how did you get through it?

~ What were the things you had to surrender because there was nothing else you could do?

~ What were the internal shifts you had to make to get through it all?

~ What did you put into play physically to help you through it all? Emotionally? Mentally and Spiritually?

~ Who did you reach out to help assist you?

~ What did you purge both physically and mentally?

~ What were your greatest gifts this year?

~ Moving onto 2021, what will you do differently?

~ What still needs to be completed as unfinished business from this year?

~ How can you get better organized so your year runs smoother?

~ Who are the people you will surround yourself with?

~ Who will you say goodbye to and move on from?

You may also decide to do a write and burn or some other ritual to close the energetic door to 2020. Even though it has been a very hard year, it's important to thank the energies for all the soul growth. Using a ceremony with fire or a candle flame would be great as this year has been all about fire energy. Fire represents movement.

Another good thing to do is to sweep out your house room by room with the intent of you sweeping out last year's energy. Then burn something such as sweetgrass to attract in the most positive energies to fill your house.

May you and yours have the most wonderful New Year's. Let's all be ready to move forward with anticipation of a better year!
