Time For Clearing, Shedding, & Going Inward

For me, November starts me thinking about the Winter months, even though it formally doesn't fully come in until Winter Solstice. With it, ushering in a time of baby it’s cold outside, it allows us the time to start slowing down and going inward. Although on the East Coast, it just starts us moving in an inward direction, it can feel like a relief from all the activities that Fall brings and gives us permission to let go & let God.

As I think of a Tarot card that represents this month I think of the death card. It represents transformation, change, and rebirth. A time of endings, letting go, and releasing old patterns and beliefs. It encourages us to embrace change, and to allow things to come to a natural end, and to trust in the change that is pushing you to start going back into the womb where new beginnings can be percolating there waiting for the right time to be born. Trusting in the process of change is not always easy as we are so programmed to hang onto what we already know or are comfortable with. But are we really comfortable there? Hmmm….

As many of us who don't like the cold are staying inside more and having the time we didn't have during the nice weather to go through everything to continue with our shedding & clearing theme, it is a wonderful time for this. You may have gone through all your belongings once or twice already, but this is the perfect time to really ask yourself if you need all that you have. Certainly, with this being the month of Thanksgiving, this is a great time to give away or recycle those things that may have once given you joy but in your heart you know it is time to pay it forward. I find, that if you meditate or pray first, this can help you let go of attachments. I find that if I utilize this time to really go inward, the ideas, intuitive hits, and foresight really outweigh the time I may feel I am wasting being still. You may just find that the time you spend with you is the most precious time of all.

Enjoy!
