The Challenge of Trusting Joy

In my life, I try to stay upbeat most of the time, but at times when joy comes in it feels fleeting. I think many are afraid to trust joy or give in to it for fear it will just leave again. We often wait for joy to arrive as if it’s a guest knocking at our door. We tell ourselves, “When things calm down, I’ll be happy.”

Joy as a Sacred Decision

Joy is a sacred decision to find beauty in the moment you’re in. This doesn’t mean that life is easy or we should ignore the challenges or pain we are going through. It doesn’t even mean we are faking it or pretending to forget where we are in the moment. It’s as simple as enjoying the present moment you are in. It could be as simple as sitting outside on a beautiful day sipping a cup of tea. If we can appreciate these simple moments, we hopefully can string these experiences together to hold the joy longer.

Shifting Your Vibration Through Joy

When you choose joy, you’re not just changing your mood but you’re shifting your vibration. Your spirit becomes magnetic to more of what matches that frequency. Before you know it, you may find yourself coming up with new solutions for the problems or challenges you were once worried about.

The Ripple Effect of Joy

The high vibe of joy can make you hopeful again and find a silver lining in all of it. I will warn you that you will crave those moments that can bring you more and more joy. Then you will do your part in creating more of the experiences that bring you those opportunities to feel the emotions you love. And here’s the beautiful ripple: your joy gives silent permission for others to find theirs. In this way, joy becomes the medicine—not only for you, but for everyone in your field.

Joy Is Already Here

Joy is not something you have to earn or wait for. It’s already here in the quiet corners of your life, waiting to be chosen. Today, let joy find you. And when it does, hold it close, because it’s holding you too.
