When was the last time you were seen, heard, and or held? I believe that there is a part of us way deep inside of us that really needs to be seen for who we really are. It’s a glorious day for us when we connect with someone on such a deep level that we are seen as our authentic selves. Better yet, when we can relax and not worry about showing all sides of ourselves. It is like all aspects of ourselves are present and we can just take a big exhale. Yes, someone sees me. I am not just invisible playing a role but sometimes I feel like the main role I’m in takes up all of my band with and there is no room for those equally interesting parts of me. Every now and then we have to let those parts of us out on holiday. There is nothing better than letting all parts shine, for that makes up who we really are.
Being heard is one of the most important things as well. Communication Is more important than most things. The act of listening is a true gift. Most people will interrupt you or want to jump in and compare their experiences to yours when all you want is to be heard. A few minutes of uninterrupted witnessing can be so powerful for someone. That in itself can make you feel heard. Often, while you are talking you can really hear yourself and gain clarity and wisdom because of it. If someone can just hold our edges for us it can be so powerful. It is like having an invisible boundary or electric fence that you may feel when someone holds your edges. Within that boundary, you can still move around and test what you're thinking or feeling while knowing someone’s got your back. Edges are there for a reason.
Being held is the best! Sometimes we energetically need to feel we are held. I know beyond a doubt that I am always held by my team, angels, guides, and teachers in the spirit world. I know my family, friends, and clients hold me when ever I need it. I recognize that I have great people in my life and am so lucky for that but being held can be a hug, a positive thought sent your way supporting you, or even something that can make your life a little easier. Never underestimate how the little things can mean so much. Sometimes when someone comes by for a session and brings me a coffee (when I can't leave to get one) that's a big deal for me and it feels like I am being held. Remember, God works through people, and although I am well aware of that it still surprises me on how we are held from moment to moment. Now that we are aware of the importance of being seen, held, and heard, I hope you can show up for others and receive it as well!
