The beginning of this holiday season makes me think of being generous. You may say that you are always generous but there is always room for improvement and expansion.
The definition of generosity is “ the quality of being kind and generous or the quality of being plentiful.” I believe it goes hand in hand with Abundance. If we give abundantly with no strings attached it just comes back to us freely. You may not be in a position to give a lot financially but we give what we can. It's all relative. You may be someone who gives time to others. You spend time with someone who may not get out, you listen to someone who needs you or you may give of your time to someone who can't afford your service. It's important to know that you get it back in the way you give it. A person who gives money away gets money from the universe in some way. A person who gives of their time seems to get more time available to them in their life.
There are so many in need in the world and you don't have to go far to see it. Spirit wanted me to remind you to give and be even more generous in some way. You don't have to spend a lot of money doing it. Just about everyone has an extra five or ten dollars to share with someone who needs it more. This is the time of year that many people are getting a bonus. Why not take just a little to make someone else’s holiday season wonderful? You may never know how you can change someone's life just with a small act of generosity. It can even be random like toys for tots. That act of giving leaves us feeling the joy of giving a helping hand.
This may remind you that we all have some walking, breathing, Earth Angels that are here to help us just when we need it most. We have all been in a jam when we didn't have the money and just like magic someone showed up to help just in the nick of time. So this holiday season let Spirit guide you to those who need your generosity. Start with your immediate circle and then move out from there. This is the true spirit of the holidays. The gift that just keeps on giving. In fact, I challenge you to give to someone financially and pick another to give your time to. Oh, and don't forget to be generous to your self as well!
